Edlio is a K-12 communications provider that partners with over 19,000 schools across North America. Edlio’s all-in-one platform integrates school websites, mobile apps, mass communications, and payments.
I joined Edlio in 2025, a few months after the company had gone through a major transition, and there was a lot of building (and rebuilding) to be done. This was a primary reason I decided to come to Edlio. What excited me the most was that I felt like they had a great product, but they didn’t have a great story. In K-12 communications, there are a few major players, and there is everyone else. It’s a corner of the education sector that is very commoditized, and Edlio was not standing out from the crowd.
My goal is always to build on what has come before. The tagline of the org at the time was “Reach every family,” which makes sense for a website and communication tools provider. You want to make sure families are informed, and that your communications are getting to the people they need to. That’s a good foundation. But in reality, they were doing so much more for schools and districts with their platform. Our CEO Ali Arsan thinks very holistically about our platform, and in collaboration with him I started to expand our message to better reflect the school-student-family-community connection.
So, we broadeded the mission: Edlio's mission is to equip schools and districts to reach every family and connect their community, so they can uplift every student.
And how do we quip schools and districts to do that? The answer is simple: One Platform. Every Conversation.
We began speaking more about the education ecosystem, and how the Edlio platform was designed to support it. This puts us in a position where everything we have done, and everything we could do in the future, fits into the context of that idea—supporting the whole education ecosystem. It also gives us a great foundation for thought leadership, as there are so many conversations we can have that connect back to the idea of school, home, and community. We’ve already built some strong layers on top of this foundation, with much more to come.
